On Wednesday, May 6th Drs. Vikki and Rick Petersen presented a lecture and food demonstration at the Cupertino Whole Foods. The topic was their new book, The Gluten Effect.

About 20 guests were expected so when 45 showed up there was some scurrying for chairs and more handouts. Despite Whole Food's best efforts several people were left standing. But in testament to the high interest for this information, those standing remained for the entire event.

There was also some delicious gluten-free food prepared by patient Daniela Magozzi who served dinner and dessert to all who attended.

A book signing followed and as of that evening, Whole Foods is officially carrying The Gluten Effect in their book department.

The event was very well received and due to the excellent response Whole Foods plans to schedule another event very soon.
